Owner Chris Dawe grew up and learnt to sail in Wellington, NZ, and he bought Polaris because he’s seen how nasty the ocean can get. The boat is on the roll of the Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron, the Ocean racing Club of Victoria and the Gosford Sailing Club. They have a great crew, and we're looking forward to the offshore season, especially this year’s Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, the boat’s 20th.
