Mortgage Choice Rumba was launched in 2002 by co-owners Robert Carr, Stephanie Cook and Kerry Burke. Based at MHYC, Rumba has been a regular competitor in the MHYC Inshore Series and CYCA Winter Series. Rumba was 3rd in the 2015 Audi Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race, PHS Div2 winner at Sail Port Stephens in 2017 and 2nd place in PHS Div2 Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race 2018. Rumba has competed in many Coffs Harbour and Sydney to Gold Coast races and are eager to take on this years Noakes Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race.
