Merlin has extensive offshore racing history with eight Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Races where they placed 2nd in division in 2003 and 2015. The boat also has a lot of experience heading in to this years Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race with a 3rd in division 2015, the team competed in the 2016 race but was forced to retire. The team will be looking for another good result this coming year after missing last years race.
