Ian Creak has had his best result yet in the blue water classic Sydney to Gold Coast Race for 2017. Ausreo came in 1st in IRC Div 3 and second overall out of a fleet of 56 yachts.
After a couple of years making improvements to the boat, a Beneteau 47.7 cruiser, Ian had the right combination of crew, gear and tactics for the race. The 2017 race proved to be a very tactical race for Andrew Lelliott who was navigator and tactician where they were able to make the perfect compromise between wind and current.
