Cyrene 3 has campaigned vigorously in many CYCA sailing events including the recent Land Rover Winter Series, in which she won Division C - this after winning the Grant Thornton Short Haul Pointscore in March, so Michael Selby has her primed and ready to go. He last sailed her in the Sydney Gold Coaster in 2011 and finished 25th overall for sixth in Division 4. In the past he has also contested the CYCA’s Mount Gay Monday Twilights Series, Ocean Pointscore and Grant Thornton Short Ocean Pointscore series’ with the X412 design. The crew is hoping for a consistent westerly which would give them a quick trip up to Southport and all that the finisher, Southport Yacht Club offers.
