Past Commodore of the Lake Macquarie Yacht Club, Graeme Hall, has entered Close Halled in its first blue water event, based on the success that Two True, a fellow Beneteau First 40, had in last year’s Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race. Close Halled is one of three Beneteau First 40s in this race, with seven other Beneteau’s ranging from 44 to 47.7ft entered thus far, there is bound to be some close action on the race track between them and possibly a few podium positions.
