Extasea was last in our waters for the 2014 Sydney Hobart, in which she finished 29^th overall and ninth in Division 2. This will be the boat’s Sydney Gold Coast debut, minus her owner, who has left Extasea in Bryan Kennett’s charge. He and the crew are seasoned campaigners on the Victorian trail, and have won every local offshore race over the past 12 years with this DK46, culminating in winning the ORCV Offshore Championship four times. In December 2015 (while most of the fleet was still rounding the south-west coast of Tasmania), Buchholz took line honours in the Melbourne to Hobart race for the fourth time, from 2011-2015, excluding 2014 when he contested the Rolex Sydney Hobart instead. Extasea finished fourth overall in IRC Division 1 at 2016 Geelong Week and is a great addition to a strong Victorian squad
