Earlier owned by Tony Kirby, Patrice Six has been in the hands of Shaun Lane since 2013 and finished 43^rd overall in last year’s race to the Gold Coast. Lane also sailed the yacht to fifth overall in the X Yacht Production Boat class at the Sydney Harbour Regatta in March, after retiring from the Pittwater Coffs Harbour Race in January. Under Kirby’s ownership, Patrice Six finished fifth overall, third in IRC Division 3 and third under ORCi in the 2009 Rolex Sydney Hobart, the first time the ORCi rule was utilized in Australia. She also finished sixth in the CYCA’s 2011/2012 Blue Water Pointscore Series and achieved a best result of fourth in division in the 2011 Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race, which no doubt Lane will be out to beat.
