Not A Diamond was one of three yachts representing Queensland in last year’s Land Rover Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race, her initiation into the race. She finished 42^nd overall for 13^th in Division 3. David Redfern went on to compete in the 70^th edition Sydney Hobart and finished a surprisingly good 30^th overall and 13^th in Division 3. We say surprisingly, as she is not regularly raced offshore, mainly competing on the local waters of Moreton Bay. Not A Diamond is one of four Beneteau 40s in the race this year and will need to be on her toes to beat the high-calibre in-class competition.
