Lee-Way finished 37^th overall and eighth in Division 4 of the 2012 Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race and is one of three entries from Southport Yacht Club, which is finisher of the race. At 11.6 metres, Lee-Way rates as one of the smaller boats in the fleet. A 23 year-old Ted Kaufman designed yacht, she still sails well, given the right conditions.  Tony Horkings says that despite a modest budget and a 22 year-old boat, they still are in it to win it.
