Purchased in April 2010, Equinox II made her ocean racing debut in the 2011 Audi Sydney Offshore Newcastle Yacht Race, where she placed third in IRC Division 0/1. Dunn has spent a considerable amount of time tweaking the boat to his liking and sails under the burgee of the race organiser, the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia, where he is also a member of the board.
