This will be Scarlet Ribbon’s offshore racing debut with her new owner Richard Buxton.  Buxton is the author of the coffee table book If Matthew Flinders Had Wings and is using his sailing endeavours to raise awareness for mental health research. After the Gold Coast race, Scarlet Ribbon will compete in Audi Hamilton Island Race Week, then cruise the Whitsundays for two months, before heading south via Lord Howe Island to take to the start line of the 2010 Rolex Sydney Hobart. In 2012, Scarlet Ribbon will head off to circumnavigate the world over a 10 year period.
