Obsession is a modified Sydney 38 with a bow sprit and asymmetrical masthead spinnakers, which is owned by a syndicate of four of its regular offshore sailors. They have put together an experienced crew that has been sailing together for many years. Since the boat’s launch in 2000 she has completed many offshore races including six Rolex Sydney Hobarts (four under charter arrangements), eight Sydney Gold Coast, four Sydney Mooloolaba and two Gosford Lord Howe Island Races.
