Profile
New in late 2008, Michael Hiatt’s latest Living Doll is aimed at giving him a speed and clear air advantage over the range of 50 to 52-footers now racing in Melbourne as well as in other major regattas. Farr Yacht Design has put a lot into this boat and Cooksons have come up with a beautiful hull and excellent IRC fit-out. Features include twin rudders and a lifting prop. North Sails have designed their latest 3DL sails, with a flat-top main for inshore, and a conventional main for offshore. She is a striking looking boat with a deep black/blue/sometimes deep green hull and the Living Doll insignia. Having missed Hobart due to a broken mast, Living Doll went on to win Audi IRC Division 1 at 2009 Skandia Geelong Week
