Mr Kite, described as a mini Volvo 70 and the smallest boat in the Audi Sydney Gold Coast fleet with a canting keel, was launched at Hamilton Island Race Week in 2005 and has contested a number of long ocean races since including last year’s Sydney Mooloolaba Yacht Race and Rolex Sydney Hobart. Buckland is a highly experienced ocean racer and 18 foot skiff sailor.
