Loki declared overall winner of Audi Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race
As the last five yachts were making their way to the finish line of the Audi Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race late this afternoon, the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia announced that Stephen Ainsworth’s RP63, Loki from the host club, had been declared the overall IRC winner of the 384 nautical mile race.

Loki third yacht to beat Brindabella’s Audi Sydney Gold Coast Race record
As George Snow was getting used to his 13 year-old Audi Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race record falling to Wild Oats XI, he was safe in the knowledge that Brindabella still held the record for a conventionally ballasted yacht – that is until Stephen Ainsworth skippered his RP63, Loki, home inside the record time of 27hrs 35min 43sec off Southport this afternoon.

Wild Oats XI crew proud of new Audi Sydney Gold Coast Race record
Mark Richards and his Wild Oats XI crew were ferried ashore to the Southport Yacht Club today after breaking the record and claiming line honours in the Audi Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race record this morning in the time of 22hrs 33min 46sec, after crossing the finish line at 11.03.46am.
