Action from the start of the 2022 Noakes Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race, with just 2-3 knots of breeze on Sydney Harbour.
100-foot maxis Black Jack, Hamilton Island Wild Oats and Andoo Comanche took more than an hour to get offshore, while some of the smaller boats endured an even longer procession out to sea.
However, the views were immaculate as the winter sun shone down on the Harbour city.
